2. Purpose of the Platform
Book in Greece provides an online service for accommodation presentation and booking intermediation throughout Greece.
Payments are processed through the Platform, securely handled by Stripe as the payment provider. Upon completion of a reservation, the customer’s details are transmitted directly to the selected accommodation for execution of the booking.
Book in Greece issues the corresponding invoice in the customer’s name for each reservation.
Book in Greece bears no responsibility for the information provided on the accommodation pages featured on our website, as this information is provided directly by the accommodation provider. Furthermore, it bears no responsibility for the services provided by the accommodations, nor for any delays, modifications, or cancellations related to the stay after the completion of the reservation.
3. Booking and Payment Terms
Reservations are completed exclusively through the Platform using a valid debit or credit card. Payments are processed via Stripe.
A booking is considered finalized only after successful payment and receipt of the corresponding confirmation email by the customer.
All displayed prices correspond to non-refundable reservations. Each accommodation applies its own cancellation, payment, and modification policy, clearly stated on its dedicated page prior to completing the booking.
Book in Greece reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation in cases of technical error, suspected fraud, or incorrect pricing.
4. Limitation of Liability
Book in Greece acts solely as an intermediary between users and accommodations.
The Platform shall not be held liable, directly or indirectly, for:
the quality or completeness of the services provided by the accommodations,
any damages, losses, or expenses arising from the use of accommodation services,
any delays, cancellations, or modifications related to a stay.
Book in Greece is under no obligation to offer compensation or refund due to technical errors or incorrect bookings. However, it may, at its sole discretion, assist users in resolving issues.
5. Intellectual Property
All content appearing on the website (including but not limited to photographs, texts, graphics, logos, layout, and design) is the intellectual property of Book in Greece or of its partner accommodations that provide material and is protected under Greek and EU intellectual property law.
Any reproduction, redistribution, modification, publication, or other use of the content without prior written authorization from Book in Greece is strictly prohibited.
6. Data Protection
Book in Greece processes users’ personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation (EU Regulation 2016/679 – GDPR).
In the context of the Platform’s operation, data such as name, address, phone number, email, payment details (processed through Stripe), and cookies are collected and processed.
These data are used solely for the purpose of completing and managing reservations, as well as for communication with the relevant accommodations.
The data controllers are Book in Greece and, jointly, each accommodation receiving bookings.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Greek Law.
Any dispute arising from or related to the use of the Platform or the interpretation of these terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Heraklion, Crete.
Book in Greece may, when appropriate, make use of the European Union’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, in accordance with applicable legislation.
8. Final Provisions
Book in Greece reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions of Use at any time without prior notice. Any amendments shall take effect upon their publication on the website.
Continued use of the website following any modifications shall constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
Should any provision of these Terms be deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
