Mykonos is the Cyclades' most international island — a single small place where Hollywood couples, super-yachts, and backpackers share the same harbor. Beyond the party reputation, it's a genuinely beautiful Cycladic landscape: cubic white villages, blue-shuttered chapels, windmills, and a chain of golden-sand beaches on the southern coast.

Mykonos Town — locally "Chora" — is the dense, walkable old port. Stay here for nightlife, restaurants, and shopping; expect noise until 3 AM in peak season. How to get to Mykonos

Mykonos Airport (JMK) is a 10-minute drive from Mykonos Town (Chora) and receives direct flights from Athens (40 minutes) year-round plus seasonal routes from London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Zurich and Geneva between May and October.
