AZADE is noble, kind and free spirited and is inviting you to enter its private world of true Cretan Hospitality. Azade is in the heart of the Old City of Chania. The building, a 17th century Venetian and Ottoman villa, has a rich history. Notable among its former owners and residents are American poet and artist Charles Henri Ford, as well as an Ottoman Pasha whose name sadly eludes records.
AZADE is located in the heart of Old Town Chania, offering amazing views towards the Sea and the Venetian Old Harbour. It features 9 ultra spacious Suites with amazing decor that combine the original materials of the 17th Century Old Villa with modern designs and amenities. In the middle of this Medieval building there is an open yard with a water fountain, ideal for al fresco dining, that takes you back to its Venetian and Ottoman past!
Welcome drinks upon arrival, in room VIP treatments, along with its Cretan based 'cooked to order' breakfast in the yard and its extensive wine list, make AZADE your ideal home in Chania!
Its central location is also ideal for visiting Chania's amazing cobble stone little alleys filled with flowers and bougaivilleas, and some of the island's award winning beaches like Balos, Elafonissi, Seitan beach and Falassarna.
