Sculptor’s House

Situated high on the Eastern ‘Metoche’ side of Aptera village, Western Crete The Sculptor’s House and Sculptor’s Cottage command breathtaking views over Souda Bay and in the opposite direction, towards the White Mountains. They share a large pool.
The Sculptor’s properties have been restored in co-operation with Pure Crete to provide two separate dwellings of unique charm which may be rented together or individually.

The main house has a spacious living/dining room with kitchen facilities (mini oven & 2 ring hob) and a single bed. Living room leads through a Cretan archway to a double bedroom which may be closed off completely by a curtain. The bathroom (with shower) is off the bedroom and has a second entrance outside.

Sculptor’s House is within walking distance (3/4 mile) of a choice of village tavernas and local store and a short drive (4 miles) to a choice of sandy beaches at Blue Beach, Kalami and Kalives. Pool dimensions are 16m x 4.5 m, depth 1.00-1.5m (child section 0.4m)

House Keys

The keys to your property will be in the door.
Warning: Self Locking Doors - Avoid Getting Locked Out!
Most of the front doors of Cretan properties do not have outside door handles and they are ‘self locking’. It is very easy for the door to swing closed behind you as you step outside and to find yourself locked out.
Leave the key in the outside of the lock or in an outside plant pot or similar, when you arrive at the property and anytime you are outside around the property (e.g. unloading the car, sitting on the terrace etc).
